Thai Sweet Chili Sauce

In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water. Set aside.
In a medium saucepan, mix together the remaining 1 cup water and the remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat, and simmer for 3 minutes.
Stir the cornstarch mixture to recombine, then whisk into the simmering sauce and cook until the mixture starts to thicken, about 1 minute. Remove from heat, and cool
Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Forget about that overpriced, goopy, artificially over-sweetened stuff at the supermarket. Make this easy Thai sweet chili sauce better and for less.
